PPA
Considered a fundamental metric used to evaluate the adherence between the scope planned for execution during a given period and the scope actually executed. In simpler terms, PPA represents the proportion between completed activities and total planned activities. This metric is a reliable indicator and differentiates between priority activities and those that do not have priority. It reflects real progress in relation to short-term planning, allowing an accurate analysis of the team's performance and the identification of any deviations from established goals.

PPA is an operational planning technique that focuses on “grip,” a core concept derived from physics that describes the contact force that prevents relative slip between two contacting surfaces. In the context of project management, adherence refers to the ability to keep planning and execution together.
The PPA examines two contact interfaces: planning efficiency and execution efficiency through the adoption of the concept of “Check-in” and “Check-out”, to manage the start and end of tasks in a project.
The “Check-in” occurs before activities begin, where the team or leader evaluates the tasks scheduled for the day, confirms the availability of resources and tools, and identifies possible pending issues. This process makes it easier to understand the nature of the tasks and helps you define the most effective way to perform them.
The “Check-out” is carried out at the end of the activities and has the function of communicating the progress of the tasks. It identifies what has been completed, what remains outstanding, as well as the successes and setbacks that have occurred. This process allows the team to take responsibility for progressing tasks and be prepared to respond promptly to any problem or demand that may arise.
By adopting the PPA in the context of WBS3D (Work Breakdown Structure 3D), the Daily Meeting is now guided by the Task Sheet. This means that both Check-in and Check-out must address precisely what was planned for the week, consolidating the results of the weekly schedule's Work Packages through daily monitoring.
Additionally, when programming is built on top of WBS3D, programming and compliance analysis are formatted based on merit rather than calculation, simplifying the process mathematics to basic arithmetic. PPA is a powerful tool that
Therefore, the PPA is a powerful tool that helps ensure adherence between planning and execution, helping to maintain team productivity by ensuring that tasks are managed effectively from inception to completion.
